Diabetic Foot Risk Category 0: Minimal Pathology Present
Summary of clinical findings:
- patient diagnosed with diabetes mellitus
- sensation intact
- no clinical signs of lower extremity ischemia
- normal noninvasive vascular exam values
- foot deformity may be present
- no history of plantar ulceration
Treatment guidelines:
- triannual visits to assess neurovascular status, dermal thermometry, and foci of stress
- possible shoe accommodations
- patient education
