Plantar fasciitis can be a frustrating ailment to deal with for both patients and physicians alike. Some patients try orthotics, cortisone injections, stretching, etc. with little or no relief. Thanks to this wonderful device, chronic plantar fasciitis pain can be controlled! Most patients describe peak pain in the morning when they first get out of bed. Many physicians believe that this pain is the result of contractures and muscle tightening that normally occurs during sleep. Research has shown that sleeping with a night splint (such as the PF™ Night Splint above) can significantly decrease morning pain by physically preventing this contracture from occuring during sleep. These splints include a comfortable liner, and fit either the right or left foot. A ventilated model is also available to prevent moisture build-up between the splint and the foot.
